One school which I am helping asked me if it’s real to install such system that the whole school (its inner part) is jammed from mobile phone usage. They have already placed signs MOBILE PHONES NOT ALLOWED INSIDE SCHOOL BUILDINGS nevertheless both pupils and personnel have no desire to abide! So the school board has asked for "mobile phone cloak" to jam all cell phone usage within the school.

Girls using cell phones in school

In our territory we see GSM (the frequency range of AT&T, Virgin, Sprint and Verizon) as well as 3G and 4G bands. Evidently we can't determine what gadgets are utilized by what people. They just wish ALL cell networks jammed.

The main school building has 4 floors along with corridors surrounding those floors (perfect to maintain a perimeter with block-shield working for the whole floor!). Every floor has approximately 200 feet long and 60 feet wide.

Our worry is the double one: the first thing is that we can't jam Wi-Fi as lots of school services utilize Wi-Fi frequencies as information transport (security cameras, smart boards, etc.). The second is that school building is attached to some other buildings and we wish to minimize the impact on neighbors. At last, we wish to make absolutely sure that in situation when power is cut off and then renewed the jamming units recall their condition; i.e. either they were on or off, and return to the same condition.

Eyeing different units available at Jammer Store, school authorities worry about frequency interference. I.e. Wi-Fi and 3G bands are close to each other thus we have to make totally sure that we do not jam Wi-Fi - so we are afraid to use the MGT40 desktop jammer. It appears that the adjustable RCJ40-D jammer might be the appropriate unit to use?

We consider using 2-3 jammers at each floor, drawn to the center and overlapped to minimize the impact on our neighbors, and all jammers on separate power switches which turn them on at the beginning of every school day and also turn them off at the end of every school day, 10 hours per day and 5 days per week.

Please propose and advice on our issue.

Jammer Store Wiki resolved this issue with lots of explanations thus I am saying “Guys, thank you very much!”
